Still, the most recent version on the Wacom web site (MacOSX - Driver 6.3.18-4) that I could find under the regular Intuos section does not work with the Intous 3, and all I get after installing/restarting is the message in the System Preference Wacom Pane that ' A Supported Tablet Was Not Found in the System' and I have to try to find the last installer that did work (which I think is WacomTablet_6.3.15-1). I don't get this 'just buy a newer model' lecture. If the hardware still works fine and the only limitation is that the software gets ignored after a certain period of time by the manufacturer, it seems quite wasteful to toss out that perfectly good tablet and spend hundreds more dollars just to do the same thing with it. In the case of phones and computers, you need the upgraded processors, displays, cameras, RAM, etc. In newer models, but this old tablet works as well for what I need it for as a new $400 one will. I don't care if it's eight years old or not.
